The first complete history of Portishead Radio from its conception at Devizes in 1920 until closedown in 2000. Over 320 pages of history including its activity during WW2 and a fond recollection of the characters who worked there. 


Many photographs are seen for the first time. Annexes are included which give brief details of the associated transmitting stations and the Morse keys used at GKA over the years.


Larry Bennett was an R/O at GKA from 1980 until closure and has devoted many years compiling this publication, which also includes many recollections from sea-going R/Os from the 1930s onwards.
